Yeah that is kind of what I having been trying to do since the last tweaks to my diet.  What does this mean?  It means I have had to give up in the fear of eating something because it is a carb yet still a nutritionaly wise choice or sometimes less than Ideal choice.

Last tweak to my diet put 50% of my calories coming from Carbs, 30% Protein (Yes I am still able to get my prtein gols in with this number) and 20% from Fats.  I am still working on getting the breakouts right and dialed in more accurately but the past few weeks I have added significantly more carbs to my diet.

These come in the form of More Fruits and Veggies occasionally crackers, nuts, granola and my Favorite breakfast now is Oatmeal.  I still shy away from Rice, Pasta, Breads but have also moved corn tortillas back into my diet.

Oddly enough I haven't gained any weight with this change, I know many people are saying "DUH!" yeah well logically I am saying the same thing but this has been a huge fear of mine for a long time.

This past week while in Las Vegas I really noticed the differences this change has made.  The energy to complete some pretty brutual workouts was always there.  I would show up to a spin class where I could get at least 30 additional minutes in the saddle to do my own work.  The spin bikes all had power meters that would report
Watts
RPM
Speed
Distance
Heart Rate but I didn't wear mine.

The nice thing is that the bikes would adjust the speed based on resistance as if pushing bigger gears on a bike.  My avg was 21+mph over a 90 minute session allowing me to hit 99.5 miles over 3 workouts.  The best parts other than energy I had was that I did not smell like ammonia ONCE getting off the bike and my sweat acidity had reduced to wear it no longer burns, I still had a massive lake of sweat under my bike so I know I didn't take it easy and chose to put out everything I had.

I also went about my days not really freaking over how much I ate because I knew I needed what I ate and very little of what I ate was lost.  The net result was 3 pounds lost from when I left and I did enjoy the dinners out.

I guess my point to all of this is that Having a bit of faith when something doesn't make sense to us just might be what we need to do in the long run especially when it is coming from someone whose is the expert in that area.
