Have you tried a variety of greek yoghurts? I get the FAGE plain, and doctor it up, it's very smooth, in fact, I often think it looks more like whipped cream or a beautiful silky white frosting, no grittiness at all.
I hear ya on the cottage. Nobody is gonna get me to eat that stuff. Aliens eat that, not humans.
I love refried beans, Can't imagine anyone not liking them, but that's why it's called "taste" we all have our own.
Have you tried protein powders that aren't made with milk? I couldn't stomach ANY milk-based protein powders. I did Nectars (fuzzy navel) with water and crystal light and sports bottle so I can't smell it.
Shrimp is jam packed full of protein, (don't do fried, of course) perhaps you can try that. I think that Shrimp is one of my Angels-singing-in-chorus-and-a-golden-light-shines-over-it level of happy tummy. My stomach sends thank you letters to every part of my body when I eat shrimp. I can't undeerstand it, but only a couple of foods make my tummy sing in delight, and shrimp is one of them (raw fish is another..... but I'm weird)
Some people get cold cuts, turkey, ham, chicken, roast beef, and they get some lettuce, and roll the meat and lettuce together making a meat/luttuce roll-up.
What about other types of beans? Black beans?
Remember, if you don't get enough protein, your body will harvest it from your protein storage system (muscles) and your heart is a muscle.

Try some more protein shakes. You've only tried six. Visit vitalady.com to get some samples. I probably tried at least 15 before finding some I liked.
Other protein foods:
-yogurt (what brand of Greek yogurt have you tried? I've tried several brands and I make my own and none that I have ever tasted have been gritty at all. It's just thicker than regular yogurt)
- sugar free pudding with protein powder
- chili
- any kind of beans
- tuna or other fish
- eggs (hard boiled, scrambled, egg salad, omelets, etc)
- chicken or turkey
- other seafood (shrimp, crab, etc)
- tofu
- veggie burgers

I am 3 weeks out and just eating a veggie burger with a slice of american cheese. Im using mustard and a tad of ketchup to wetten it. So far so good and its 18g of protein. I also put a half a scoop of protein powder in my yogurt and that equals 18g I dont like greek yogurt its too thick. I have been also eating baby bell light cheeses its really soft and 6g same as string cheese.
I don't like most greek yogurts or plain cottage cheese either. I do like feeling great and losing weight though, so I found some creative ways to do this.
I LOVE this site. theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/ I think shelly has managed to put protein or low fat subsitutuions for almost anything you can think of, and if not has been inspiring enough for you to make your own!
to make greek yogurt into a regular yogurt consistancy with do it yourself flavors
I use sugar free syrups like they put in your coffee at starbucks and add whatever flavor I want to plain greek yogurt, I like equal, so I add one packet of that and a serving of benafiber.
For cottage cheese, I make it into a salad. I NEED spice in my life, so I dice up some raw onion, tomatoes, and cilantro and maranade it in some green chile sauce for an hour or so in the fridge, and add cottage cheese to my homemade uncooked salsa for a fresh cold salad.
oh oh oh and on that site you'll find neat ways to use those protein powders, like to make icecream, or add to puddings or jello to make meals that qualify as desserts to everyone else!
I actually make lots of people jealous with my yogurt meals, my faveorite yogurt flavoring is chocolate and coconut... an almond joy! or peanut butter (extract) and chocolate makes an amazing peanutbutter cup, creamy desert!

I find Fage to be creamier than regular yogurt. Not being hungry is not an excuse. I'm never hungry, but I get 120 grams a day in.
Find a way to drink your protein drinks. Treat it like medicine. You wouldn't skip taking a pill because it tasted bad if your body needed it...
Eat more tuna and eggs if that's all you like or can stomach. It's all about finding ways to make it work. At a certain point, if you aren't taking in what your body needs, it stops being about weight loss and starts being about staying healthy.

I agree with 'not being hungry' as not an excuse. I am shoving food or protein shakes in my mouth what seems 24/7 but it's not due to hunger. It's due to the fact that I've developed a schedule .... I eat what I should when I should and taste, hunger.... most of those don't have much to do with it. The only time I alter my schedule is if I'm having a "small pouch day" and I can't stomach another bite.... then I cut back. For that meal.
