Thinking of you and your sweet kitty. I hope the vet can figure out what's wrong soon! Don't forget to take care of yourself too!!

She follows her animal instinct - she is sick - so she does not eat.  That's what they do.

As for the pee - my cat - healthy - can go for 24 hrs without using a litter box. And it was hot - so that may be a issue also.

(HUGS) I hope you get some rest, and that she feels better.
I have one small cat and I am acutely aware when she is not feeling her best self.

Cayenne will be spending the night at the vet's.  She is getting IV fluids.  She is still refusing to eat.

I took her a fleece blankie that she likes a lot so she could sleep on that and it will smell like home.  She seems very puzzled by the IV in her leg.  They have it wrapped up really well so she can't pull the IV out and she was sitting there with her leg stuck out at this really awkward looking angle.  Every so often she would wiggle it around a little and look at it like she was trying to figure out what the heck it was.

hopefully she is doing better in the morning.  She has eaten almost nothing since Tuesday morning.  I wonder how much weight she's lost?

Have they given her cyproheptadine?  It is a medication to get animals to eat.  Although since you mentioned she isn't even eating yogurt, which is usually the go to food, I'm not sure.  I hope she starts eating soon.

I don't think so.  When she was home last night, she was on antibiotics and something for nausea, because she had been vomiting but she isn't vomiting anymore.  The vet was thinking once they got her fever down she would feel like eating again, but that hasn't happened.  I mean, her temp has been normal for more than 24 hours now but she still won't eat.  Which of course is bad for any animal but this cat loves to eat normally.  She gets so excited by food.  When I am eating yogurt, she usually sits next to me and paws at my arm, sometimes making me spill some yogurt, until I am done and let her lick the bowl.  Last night and this morning, she just looked at the yogurt like it was not edible.

I'm sorry I hope she regains her appetite.

Our gimpy crippled cat loves yoghurt. When I'm making my yoghurt meal, I generally spoon a bit up, dip my finger in it, and rub some on his flank. He always loves to lick it off his fur Hates being given it on a spoon, or to lick of my finger, he wants to clean it off his rump.

Our new kitten, a duplicate in miniature of our gimpy cat, apparantly has the same desire, so now I have duplicate kitty begging, then duplicate kittys lickiing it off their rumps. Weirdos.

Are they giving her I/D food?  It is Prescription Diet, but it is basically chicken and rice.  Very bland, but the best thing to use for nauseated pets.

Keep us up to date on how things are going.  I don't work at the vet anymore, but will always have my love of veterinary care and the pets that go along with it.  If all else fails, I highly recommend eastern medicine. I was VERY skeptical when one of our vets started using acupuncture, but was converted once I saw results.  Moxa (an herb that is burned that smells just like pot) was pretty effective at getting cats to eat.
