there goes my vacation....
It's a good thought. She absolutely hates riding in the car though. I suspect she would cry the entire drive. Before I moved here, I used to drive from three hours away to visit my partner and I would bring my cats with me and Cayenne would cry loudly nonstop for the whole three hour drive. Plus, if she got sick, I don't think I'd want to have to try to find a vet in a strange town.

Love to Miss Cayenne and her mommy. Maybe you can have a staycation instead. Watch a TV series you've wanted to see (For years I planned a Carl Sagan's Cosmos video vacation, but now the science is outdated). Do something with a theme. Experiment with nonalcoholic summer drinks or healthy ice creams. Whatever would be fun and cheap and let you stay with your kitty.
The ocean will be there for quite a long time. If you get a chance, come out west and I'll take us to "my" ocean. It's cold and windy, but beautiful.

That's a good idea! I'll think a bit about what I'd like to do. Thank you for suggesting it.
I'd love to go to Oregon. I'd like to go up the coast to Washington, too. I'd like to go in the fall when the whales are migrating.
