You know you have to eat & you have all kinds of things you could eat, but you are standing there with the fridge wide open just staring & wanting nothing. That's me tonight. I know I have to eat but there is nothing I want at all. It's one of those moments I had pre-surgery where I would of just picked something easy & non-nutritious to eat. I could go for some watermelon, but that does not help me in the protein dept. I hate when I'm like this. Usually I just eat because I know I need to not because I want to, but sometimes like tonight my mind wants to rebel. Needless to say I go to my default foods either pintos & cheese or Ham & cheese rollups. I eat alot of pinto's. Lol  Anyone else feel this way? I know I can't be alone in this.

I feel ya.  I'm a newby...roughly 2 mos out and had to address my concern for lack of interest to my surgeon the other day.  I fix something to eat, intending to eat it (well, some of it) only because I think I should since I have entered the first phase of the progression diet they have me on...Only to ingest no more that half a tsp then turn it down.  I didn't/don't know if I am simply already full at that measley amount of food or if I'm just not interested in food.  I have no appetite at all to speak of and quite frankly, despite however not so tasty they are, I prefer and am content with a protein shake.  I thought I was the only one, but I am actually quite glad I'm not alone....lest we are the only two

I miss those days.... I'm two years out and maintaining well, but now I can EAT! I look in the fridge and tell myself not to eat. I remember those early post-op days when I couldn't even look at food and had to force myself to eat. Enjoy these times :)

I'm 3 months out and had one of those days yesterday. Nothing looked good, nothing sounded good. I didn't feel hungry (which I never do anyway, but still it would have helped if I did!) I was even having issues with drinking my liquids. Today, I'm back on point. Nothing sounds or looks good, but I'm eating anyway. I know I can't make up for the lack of protein I got in yesterday, but I can make sure I do what I need to today.
