FWIW, most of the clients that I have worked with who have weight problems (some who ahve had some type of WLS and some who have not) find that the mental/emotional part of it is what trips them up.  Sure, they occasionally just give in to temptation and eat something decadent and extremely fattening, but usually when that happens, they get back on track the next day. They get into trouble, though, when it is emotional/psychological issues that cause them to stray off plan... they stay off plan for more than just a day and find it much harder to shake it off and get back on plan.

Thanks for the repost! Nik RAWKS! Many of you vets RAWK! I come here often because I have had way too many failures in the weight loss department and it does me good to read what worked for you, and what didn't.

In the short year that I've been on this journey I have learned so much about... ME - from all of you. I can now share my (limited) experiences with others to perhaps help them over their hurdle.

And about it being about our heads... that is so right on. I think retraining my brain will be a constant work in progress.

Thank you for being there for us
