gallbladder issues

I had an ultrasound on Tuesday, which showed gallstones.  For the last few weeks at times when I ate, I would feel sick to my stomach.  At first it was just higher fatty foods, which I don't eat much of but lately it doesn't matter what I eat.  I am waiting for the doctor to call me and let me know what he plans to do but it is getting to a point where I don't want to eat because I don't want to feel nauseous.  Does anyone have any ideas on what I may be able to eat that may not bother me as much?  Just wondering if someone has had the same symptoms and what they did eat that didn't bother them as much.  Thanks

Small amounts of fat-free foods. Proteins should be not too dense, so you might want to rely on yogurt and protein supplements. I had gall stones before surgery and ate rice, applesauce, yogurt, and fat-free soup, none of which set off attacks.

No advise on foods to HELP gallstones, but will say this:
First, I have not had WLS yet, but last Mother's Day (2011) I had the pleasure of having not only lap surgery to have 7 gallstones removed, but then 3 days later they went in and took the gallbladder as well.
I had been living with what I had thought were anxiety pains for YEARS, and now realized that it was gallstones! Not once since I had it out have I had the pain or nausea that I used to have.
The only thing I am occasionally sad about is this: I have found that I have 'issues' when eating garlic and grape jelly of any kind! Weird I know, but the surgeon said that this was normal so I just lust for garlic and know that if I choose to eat it in any amount or food, i need to be home and next to the bathroom! lol
Good luck and I hope your doctor helps you get out of the pain, which I know was unbearable!
