this is how the misconstruing begings, that is not what she was saying,   ............not one of the vets were freaking   making suggestions is a good thing, letting others know why they dont get 300 answers to a post is not freaking or ignoring, this was a post to explain why  we are doing what we are doing, why  we just cannot answer all the posts, USE THE SEARCH BAR it is there for a very good reason and full of valuable info. i just dont see where any  one of the vets decided  not to be helpfull  or mean????

" I come here to learn and to gain knowledge on how to deal with things that I will soon encounter. Is this no longer going to be that for me? Has everyone decided to freak out and stop helping the newbies? If that's the case, can someone please tell me about another site, where people will be helpful too me through this journey I am taking....

Everyone needs support.

It seems to me that this forum is more supportive than it was when I was first here. At that time there were a lot of people crawling through this site telling people with RNY that they were pretty much losers for wanting RNY instead of a different surgery. It was hard to get and feel support in that sort of atmosphere.

I need support. I need it a LOT right now as I fight against a little bit of regain that feel like it just isn't faire that I'm gaining when I do the food part of the equation right. (but not the exercise part).

You'll get OUT of this forum what you put INTO this forum.

If you click the little "Latest posts" thingie beneath my avatar, I think you'll see that there are more than 400 pages of posts and I have my settings to 30 posts per page. That's approximately 12,000 posts to this forum. 2,400 per year, 200 per month, 6 to 7 posts a day for close to five years. 90% of those posts are me helping others. (probably).

I'm here to help. What I am NOT here to do is:
* I won't tell you lies
* I won't treat massive deviations from plan as being okay
* I won't type only in a way guaranteed to be right for YOU or for any other individual. Impossible to give, impossible to ask (but I have been told it's wrong for me to post something that isn't said in a way that someone else likes)
* I won't avoid speaking about the foods I eat, even if what I eat is YOUR trigger food.
* I won't mince words (but I'm usually more rather than less wordy)
* I won't pretend bad behavior is okay. I won't condone it. I won't treat bad behavior as if it's not a big deal. If you are doing something that I think will make you unsuccesful I am going to tell you about it. I likely won't tell you in way that will work for YOU, I'll tell you in a way that will work for me. If you were my BFF and I knew you for twenty years, I might tell you in a way that I have learned over time is the most productive for you. But if you're a stranger on the internet, I can only share with others the way it works for ME. And if you don't feel as if that is supportive, that is your right! But don't expect me to change for you, just because my method doesn't work for you.
* I won't feel sorry if what I say doesn't help a stranger. If it doesn't help the original poster, it might help the person *****ads my response.

Ultimately, I'm just one human being with no super powers. I share. I care. I come here primarily for me, but secondarily because helping others helps me.

Personally, I wish there was a specific forum for patients who are further out like 1+ or 2+ years. I think that would help the annoyance and allow vets to have a place that was all about them. I'm going to recommend it to the administrator.

You're funny

And I'm STIFF this morning. Interesting to me the muscle that is still the most. I'm no expert on muscles, but this one is from the front of the shoulder down towards the breast, not quite sure if it's the pectoral or if it's one of the companion muscles to the pectoral. I guess 3 hours clinging to the side of a capsized kayak will do that for you.

I am a newbie and cannot tell you how much I appreciate the experience shared by the "Vets". I love this site. You can find an answer to almost any question or concern by querying on the key words.

Thank you to everyone one this site that is willing to share your experience and willingness to try and keep the newbies on the right track. My impression is that the majority of people on this site just want to see people succeed.
