Going under the knife!

 Hey friends, 

Finally (and by finally, I mean after almost 2 years of fighting with my insurance) I got my approval on Friday and my surgery is set for this Friday!  All of the suddon, it feels like its moving really fast!  Im on day 4 of my liquid diet, and doing ok!

Any tips, experiences, funny stories you can share with me about your surgery/recovery?  Suddonly, I feel like I don't know anything (even though Ive been doing research for 2 years!)

 First of all congrats!!!! What kind of surgery are you going to have? Don't be scared or nervous everything should be fine. . .these doctors really know what they are doing. . .otherwise they wouldn't have this job. . .lol! I wish you the best of luck. .. i had the gastric bypass RNY 2 years ago and its the best decision I have ever made in my life. .. make sure you join a good support group ok

Your hospital should have one. Mine has a group once a month (tonight actually). You can also check the ASMBS website for groups in your area.

Woohoo I know that you are excited. I am having my surgery tomorrow, we will be on this journey together. Ask your doctor about support groups in your area, the office my offer them once a month.
