Gal bladder removal

 I was so excited to post I had my surgery date that I forgot to ask about something! When I was talking to the scheduler, she said I'd be having the bypass and something else I had never heard of. I asked what that meant and she said it was something to do with gall stones. My pre op appointment is Monday afternoon, so obviously I'll ask the surgeon if it's coming out (I know some patients have it out) or if he's just taking care of the stones. 

But for those of you who've had yours removed...did it make your overall recovery worse/more painful/slower? Just seeing what to expect as "normal" if I do have it removed at the same time.
