-No B12 shots it is in my vitamin powder

-1000 mg of calcium carbonaat (might have to get that changed). This with the D is by prescription and you get it the day you leave the hospital. Some woman with a bag gave it to me along with my antacid pills.

-I chose to take the iron it was not required. I did it for my own health.

None of the chewables in my area were good. They all meant that I would have to take 4-5 of them just to get enough vitamins. Also they all cost 9+ euros. Who has that type of money!

Unless your vitamin powder is something sublingual, you can't absorb the B12 in it due to the lack of intrinsic factor in your pouch. We need sublingual B12, the nasal spray, or shots.

Also, we cannot absorb calcium carbonate because we don't have enough stomach acid.  We need calcium citrate.

I received all the information about vitamins from my nut before the surgery. I was able to purchase beforehand, so I did not have to rush to get them afterwards.
Today is the first day of the rest of my life!!

Thanks for the responses!  I notice that no one is taking the nutrametrix vitamins... I was hoping to take those as I'm a little worried about getting the vitamins in with a new pouch (Im so used to taking pills with gulps of drink).  Of course, I hear they are expensive and since I can get away with gulping now, I havent switched.  lol

I guess I'll be ordering as many chewables as possible!  And picking up a pill packer for the road since Ill have to set my alarm for all the vitamins.  Its slightly intimidating, but I am so excited to finally be on a healthy road!!

Thanks again!
