What were the 3 things you were looking forward to most?
RNY on 03/20/12
1. Stepping into a regular store with my thinner friends and be able to shop with them instead of complimenting them on the things they pick out.
2. Painting my toenails without struggling.
3. Being 5'11 I already stand out, so being 5'11 and overweight was awful. It's great to now walk in and not be the biggest woman in the room.

Awwww hugs to everyone! You are all so sweet! I second to what all you posted except for Larry. I like peeing sitting down.
1) I want to be able to be able to wear ski clothes in women's sizes. (I always had to get men's 3XL)
2) Being able to put on my ice skates again and ice skate.
3)Be even smaller in the airline seat (I flew in May....75 lbs lighter helped).
4)Lastly be a normal looking person so no one ever knew I was so fat.
Sorry that was four!

1. Wearing cute clothes - low rise jeans and boots that actually fit around my calves.
2. Crossing my legs, tying my shoes, wiping my tush easily after using the restoom and other physical movements that most people take for granted.
3. Self esteem. I haven't quite gotten this one yet. I actually had more BEFORE surgery, but I'm working on it.

Great post and I can relate to everyones responses...even Larry's! lol
TMI, when we went camping, yes I tried to pee standing up which was not the best idea, but now I can pee standing up without having to move things around! lol
1. Being comfortable in my own skin, I have a new love of wearing dresses!
2. Playing with my grandbabies!
3. I am looking forward to traveling on an airplane and not feeling "trapped" into a tiny seat!

I would have to say the top 3 things on my list are:
1. Being able to walk/exercise without my feet, knees, and back killing me
2. To be able to fit in the plane seat so I can take my dream trip to Scotland
3. Buy cuter clothes that dont cost an arm and leg
I know you will reach your goals!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

1) not having to worry about fitting (or NOT fitting) in chairs, airline/theater/ballpark seats, restaurant booths, going through turnstiles, etc.
2) rollercoasters and white water rafting!
3) not having so much trouble with physical activities (getting winded walking more than a city block, having to walk slowly because it was so much effort to move my body with the weigth and bad knees (which are still bad, BTW), struggling to go up more than a single short flight of stairs, struggling to put my shoes on and and not being able to paint my toes)
