People are frustrating....

Absolutely.  People also have different ways of wording things... different word choices, phrasing, emphasis, etc. and sometimes just reading something from someone who communicates with a style that is very different than your own can cause things to be misinterpreted.

I know people can be sensative, so I try to temper my comments but sometimes the **** I read is infuriating.  I swear there are days that I think there needs to be an i.q. test before they allow people to get any weight loss surgery whatsoever.  I don't post to be popular, I post because I have lived this for 7+ years and made it work, and this honestly helps me to stay on track and hopefully someone will take encouragement from what I post.

There are definitely some people that allow others to affect them way too much. It's the Internet, it's a huge world out there with so many different personalities. We individually can't know everyone what helps one and how to address another. Many of us will also be honest and blunt not sugar coat it.

Being on OH for almost 8 years I'll say the tones and words here are relaxed and usually well thought out. Some people I've interacted with on OH no longer post. Some of those posters would eat a softy alive. As Kim stated I've seen personal lives threatened.

My suggestion to all is take what you want from here. If you don't like an answer move along whether it will help you or not only you can decide.

Brilliantly said.

So often I think folks are here to get their egos stroked rather than hear the vanilla, straightforward truth from another viewpoint.

I think people need a sense of humor. Some things are just downright funny. Breath People.... relax.... If you want to do something that is downright dangerous, stupid, annoying or otherwise horrible and you want a pat on the back for how damn brilliant you are.... you are in the wrong place.

If I EVER come on here and post about a brilliant new way to do something and others read it and say "Julie for the love of god did you not think this through...." My FIRST instinct is too REVIEW what has been said to me.... LOOK GOOD AND HARD at myself and then take and leave what I want.

NO you don't have to believe or take what EVERYONE says despite how long you have been around.

Just the other day a person who has been here a while and has "multiple personalities" on OH told me I have to Respect my elders, KNOW MY PLACE, and Learn.... Trust me what I posted about I was not disrespecting anyone.... And you know what I did.... I LAUGHED! And I moved on with my day....

There will ALWAYS be drama... I like to ALWAYS give people the benefit of the doubt. I try to NEVER assume anything.
