Thursday??!! Friday Eve - Whatcha doing / eating?
I couldn't help but laugh out loud when i read the first two parts of your post : )
Hot here today....it's mom's bday and I made her the best cake ever (or so it looked and she said it tasted as I'm sticking to my no junk food/alcohol till Labor Day plan) this morning. She's my neighbor and we had coffee on the porch.
HUGE pouch today..i had a huge protein shake for breakfast followed by a Supreme Protein bar an hour later...now I could eat again!! I know it's b/c I didn't eat yesterday evening...calories were way low and I ate some string cheese and a Fiber One bar late before bed last night.
Ultimate compliment at the end of yoga..my instructor screams, "Girl, you have some serious shoulders -- Linda Hamilton in Terminator!" LOL I'll take it!!!
- skim and orange cream protein shake all thick
- Supreme Protein bar
- Healthy Choice entree that I didn't eat yesterday
No clue on anything else.

Good morning! So the scale has finally moved! I have been fluctuating between 175-178 for the last month or so! 171.8 this morning. I am so close to being considered a healthy weight- 2 more pounds. At that point I'll also be at the goal of my nutritionist- anywhere in the 160's. That isn't my goal but getting there!
The weather report has me bummed. I supposed to be meeting friends at a hotel on the Boston Harbor after work...they have a barge where bands play music, a different type every night and tonight it's blues. I am hoping that the forecast changes!
Anyway- eats today
Breakfast- Grande Soy Latte
Snack- watermelon
Lunch- 1/2 c chili w/ one egg over easy
Dinner- not sure was going to be a salad of some sort and a glass of wine @ the blues barge. We shall see!

Good day yesterday. Close to 2300 calories burned, 1308 consumed. I had to cram in a protein bar and some dried pineapple right before bed to get it up to even that much.
I'm sitting here staring at my water glass. i don't wanna. I just wanna drink hot decaf green tea, but I need to drink the water too. I need to keep it a habit.
I did my hour of Zumba last night followed by the 2 mile run. I ate an apple around 5 and it made me so bloated and distended that I just really didn't want to go. But I did and was glad.
Today's eats:
24 oz of water before work.
B - 0% Fage, cherries. splenda
s - hot green tea with splenda
L - zucchini lasagna, cheese stick. Orange if needed, but prolly not.
s - 1 1/2 scoop mint cookie protein made with water
D - Not sure. Intrigued by the chicken skewers in the OH newsletter so I might be trying that out.
s - maybe, maybe not. Depends on time of dinner and overall calories.
Today's dos:
An hour of hot power yoga.
About the mint cookie protein powder... I made a discovery. I'm on autoship and I was always cutting it so close toward the end of the month. I would be a day or two short, which didn't make sense since it has 60 scoops and I use 1 1/2 per day. It seems it should last about 45 days. Well... I decided to do a little sleuthing. I scooped a full scoop and weighed it. According to the label 1 scoop = 35 grams = 140 calories = 23 grams of protein. Mine scoop weighed in at about 45-50 grams. Level scoops. So I measured my 1 1/2 scoops. It was a little over 2 scoops worth. So, now I've started to weigh my scoops when I bag them up in the morning. Toss my little baggy on the scale, and dump it in. I was underestimating not just protein, but also calories. There's a difference between 210 and 300. And no wonder it made me a little queasy sometimes. Too much sugar (6-7 grams) for a liquid. I just took for granted one scoop was accurate if it was level.
Wrong. Lesson learned. The bag is last much longer now!

It's MY friday today! Woohooo!
Just said goodbye to my last class of this session. It's been a fun class--challenging at times, but fun. I'm off for the next two days. No cake orders due, no swim classes. Just the typical housework. Ahhh.
Breakfast was the saddest little bowl of oatmeal and peaches. I intended to split a bowl with my daughter, but she kept wolfing hers down, so I basically just ate her meager leftovers. Topped off with two cups of coffee at the gym.
So now I'm hungry. Lunch will be leftover pecan salmon and broccoli.
I'll have a cheese stick or some greek yogurt later. Dinner is Cottage Pie. The base will be ground beef, onion, carrot, and beans, simmered in beef gravy, and topped with cheesy julienned potatoes.

Today is better than yesterday. I'm still missing my family, but bought a plane ticket for my aunt's wedding in September, so I know it won't be too long before I see them again.
Also, changing your name should be an Olympic event! I went and updated my driver's license, car registration, voter registration, social security, cell phone bill, bank account, student loan bill, passport, payroll, health insurance, and investment info. Whew! I'm happy to share a last name with my best friend now though, so I won't complain more about it.

Food today:
Breakfast: Black coffee
Lunch: 4 oz. roasted chicken with green peppers and broccoli
Snack: Strawberry yogurt
Dinner: I told my husband I'd make him whatever he wants since he was kind enough to wait around the DMV with me this morning. So we'll see.
Snack: Some kind of awesome yogurt popsicle. Friends bought me a zoku popsicle maker for the wedding and I can't wait to play with it!
Have a good Thursday to all.
