Eating too much at a time?

I feel like I am eating too much at a time but I never get that full, tight feeling. I am 7 months out and feeling completely lost.

For breakfast I had one slice of wheat bread with a slice of cheese and one slice of turkey, along with a light yogurt.

For lunch I had an all natural chicken patty and a medium banana. My problem is I can eat like this and still feel that hunger even after 20 minutes. I don't eat after my meals except for some healthy snack in between like chick pea, fruits and vegetables.

I just need to know I am not doing something wrong. I've lost about 120 so far, my 7 months was Friday.

I also workout a lot, 6 days a week already I am doing P90x and Zumba. I broke my stall a bit but seem to only be losing 4-5 pounds a month. I have no complications so I am afraid that something is wrong. Early out I got sick a few times but now I haven't once, since about 2 months out. HELP, is this common. Could I have stretched it?

I don't think you're supposed to eat until you get a tight feeling.  You should eat until you feel "not hungry," but not until you feel full and tight.

Are you drinking with meals, or right after?

Are you tracking your food so you know how much of everything you consume..ie ..protein calories?
You may need to step up your food plan when exercising. The loss slowed down for me about that time. My NUT has increased my calories ( I've been getting plenty of protein in) to see what happens. She said sometimes it takes a while for your body to catch on that it isn't in starvation mode. I've been losing around 5 lbs a month, too. I'd contact your NUT to see what advice she has to offer. Good luck!

It is unlikely that you have stretched anything.  Despite the fears of so many here it is very difficult to permanently stretch the pouch and not very easy to stretch the stoma (although that is more likely than pouch stretching just because of the nature of what each is made of).

Are you saying that you still feel hungry even immediately after having eaten those things??

As Kelly said, my surgeon's instructions were to eat until you were no longer hungry OR had eaten enough protein (her rule was protein first ALWAYS with bites of fruit or veggies or bread after the protein is all in) NOT until you felt completely full.  I can tell you that, at 5 years out, if I ate until I was completely full at each meal (I eat 6 or 7 meals a day), I would not be maintaining my weight loss.  So portion control is important for the rest of your life and you cannot rely solely on your pouch for that.

I've only experienced the "tight" feeling a couple times. That's why it concerns me that I am able to eat like this in one sitting without feeling that. I track my calories and everything. I eat clean and never have junk. I don't drink with meals and I wait always an hour later. Just scared I am eating too much

I never eat until I feel full, but I never get that "not hungry" feeling often either. That's why it scares me , I just feel like I am eating a lot in one sitting

With the speed at which you've lost weight and the amount you're able to exercise, I don't see how you could be doing anything wrong.

How about counting calories to make sure you're not eating too much? If you include some protein in your snacks; i.e., chick peas plus a bit of veg, yogurt plus a little fruit, maybe you'll avoid hunger.

I'm 10 weeks out and I can already eat a cup at each meal. I haven't had any complications at all and the only thing I can't really eat now is milk and tortilla shells. The milk makes me nauseated so I switched to soy, and I just avoid the tortilla. I've wondered if I was doing something wrong too. I am still learning when I'm full. Once in a while I eat one bite too much and get that full tight feeling. I also was instructed to eat 3 meals a day with small snacks in between and most of the time I can with no problem. I think we all handle food differently. It's just easier for some than others.

I could have eaten TWO cups at 10 weeks out (my surgeon didnt' want us to be to ONE cup until by about 18 months.... but the reason I could eat that much (if I'd tried) was that the nerves are cut. At about 6 months out (I was at 4 oz, per my plan) when my nerves started to talk t me again, I ended up cutting back to 1/3 of a cup instead of 1/2 a cup.

I would not be eating a cup of food at 10 weeks .... that is a LOT of food for someone who is still trying to lose.
