I have been approved!!!!!
I have been approved!!!! Got a call this morning from my insurance that my authorization for bariatric surgery has been approved and received a call from the doctors office at 4:45 saying that i have been approved!!! I am now waiting on the doctors office to set me a date:) im soooooo excited, sooooooo nervous, soooooo anxious. Any great last minute tips to help with all these emotions!!
Congratulations - my surgery was just scheduled today - and will be starting a liquid diet - they scheduled my surgery for August 29th so things are just going so fast. If they have not already advised you, if you need any pre surgery testing done such as new blood work, EKG, etc that they might schedule that now, I also had to do a post surgery nutrition class which I completed today. I have one last appointment scheduled to see my doc before surgery. Other than that, I am just going to start buying all my vitamins, make sure I have my clear liquids, checking on my medication to make sure I can crush them after surgery of if my doc will need to subscribe something different..and most of all, just breathing and taking it all on. It is like being hit by a whirl wind!!

I know I will have to do one last nutrition class and blood work. But I am assuming they will schedule all these when they get me a date set up (I hope:)) I think the whirl wind has started. My head is already spinning:) I started this journey in January and had to do a 6 month supervised nutrition and exercise class and I thought this is going to drag out and before you know it the class was over and I am on the yellow brick road to surgery.
