I know there are successful people with the Band, and I myself was for a time, but I personally know more people that developed problems and are looking to or have already had it out, than have truly been successful and are content with it with no issues. I hear a lot of people who are interested in it now say that if they have more than 50-75 lbs to lose, their surgeon won't even consider a band, they offer the sleeve in its place.
Like you said earlier, that's why there are different surgeries; everyone's needs are different. I'm thrilled with my RNY and am looking forward to actually getting to goal this time around
