I know it's Saturday - but what are you eating /doing?

I am soooo happy to be out of training at work.  The training itself wasn't bad - it was the dayshift that was putting me under!  Beyond being sleepy all day everyday, my eating went completely nutso.  During the last 3 days of training I had a total of 6 cookies and 2 donuts!! WHAT?!?  I did workout everyday for 8 days in a row, so hopefully it was enough.

Today I am working overtime (thus posting at 6am!).  I'll leave work around 8, go buy horse and chicken feed, home to unload it then to my parent's house to help my mom.  My almost 79yr old dad has had to care for her pretty much on his own this whole week, so I will probably spend all day with her so he can have a break. It's storming and today HAS to be an exercise rest day anyway.

B1 - Click Vanilla w/ skim milk and SF Torani Hazelnut
B2 - cottage cheese w/ berries
L - roast beef, green beans, squash
S - mint cookie made w/ water
D - either leftovers or "breakfast" - egg, turkey bacon, tomato slice, P28 toast
(unless I can get to the grocery store this morning and get set up to try one of Nik's "French Toast" recipes.... hmmmmm "

So what are eating today?  Special plans for your weekend?

Happy Weekend!  I hear you on the work stress.  It's my crazy time of year..... I didn't hit the cookies, but I've been grazing.  I need to stop.

My workouts have been inconsistant too..... my excuse.... not trusting myself.  A couple months ago I thought that my running shoes weren't feeling cushy anymore, but they were only 3 months old, so I figured that I just wanted pretty shoes (can't justify them this way).  So, I kept on going... 2 months later, my regular workout resulted in blisters on the bottom of my feet.  Uh, ok, I really do need new shoes.  Ordered a pair 1/2 size bigger than the old and they arrived too small (my daughter is so happy with her new shoes).... so I ordered another pair (now 1.5 sizes bigger than my original) and they should arrive this week.  My feet have healed, so I will probably get 4 miles in today.... but I can't guarantee tomorrow.... feet don't fail me now!

Eats:

B - eggs / cheese
L - was given some fresh veggies from co-workers garden, some kind of protein
D - tba

Have a great weekend!

It's raining in the burbs of Detroit, so my walk got nixed.  I'm hoping it'll clear up soon so I can
get it in.  On a good note, I'm 10 pounds away from being exactly halfway to my goal.  That made
me smile.  =)  Today we are going to my dad's for a bbq and cards.

B:  HMR 70 chocolate protein shake w/ 7 oz skim milk
S:  LF cheese stick
L:  WW mini cheeseburger
D:  1/4 of a country rib, couple bites of baked potato
S:  2 SF popsicles

O:  10 oz skim milk & lots of crystal light

Have a great Saturday!

Waiting for my TPN to be done, then it's protein shots very 30 minutes.
Morning egg beats
Afternoon ricotta cheese

I tried fresh Mozarella yesterday, a small ball about 3 grams of protein, it was good but I think I had the ricotta to soon after as I was a bit nauseated.

 It's Saturday!! yay! yay! yay!
This week was so stressful at work I am so glad it's over!!!
So far the weekend has been great last night I went to see Diamond Rio with my Mom, Dad, Sis and soon-to-be brother in law and had a great time and tonight is my sisters bridal shower so busy today getting myself togeter I still have nothing to wear!!

B: Banana, 3 egg whites, slice cheese
S: apple, yogurt
L: baked potato w/salsa
S: matrix mint cookie shake made w/ water
D: having bbq at the shower so hopefuly anything but beef because it grosses me out to even watch other people eat it.
Since RNY my view of food and eating have changed so much and I am so much more aware of what I eat, where it comes from, and what has been done with it that I realized I really don't like eating meat so it's mostly a veggie, egg, dairy diet for me and I feel fantabulous!

Have a beautifu, blessed, and peaceful day everyone :)

I'm actually really irritated.

I take my Saturdays very seriously--it's Shabbat, so I don't schedule work-related obligations on Saturdays. It's really my only day off.

My landlord was supposed to come by early this morning to look at my carpets. We're discussing having them torn out, which would be awesome. I spent all night working on a client project, so I got up super early today to clean up the cakery mess and put the polish on my house--sweep, mop, vacuum, dust. You know, I want it to look nice when the owner comes.

So 15 minutes after he's supposed to be here, he calls and says he won't be coming today. GAH!! I could have slept in. I get precious few days where I can just sleep and relax and do nothing, and now that's gone.

He said, "Well, I figure it's okay, you have other things to do." Yeah. Like sleep!

*grumble grumble*

Anyway.

I haven't had breakfast yet because I've been busting my hump getting everything all sparkly. I guess I'll have some cottage cheese. And maybe a small bowl of Special K Protein Plus with a few slices of banana.

Lunch will be at a cub scout pinewood derby. I have no idea what they'll be serving, so I'll just wing it.

Then I'm headed to Jilly's Cupcakery for a bridal shower. Fortunately, cake doesn't appeal to me, but they don't serve other food in the afternoon, so I'll bring along a protein bar.

Dinner? No idea yet. I haven't looked at my menu board today.

Saturday! I am so happy. That last week was dragging.

Today I am going to Trader Joe'****ting the gym then going to Dave & Buster's for a night of plain fun (for those that don't know Dave & Busters = Chuck E. Cheese for grown-ups).

I am advancing toward my scale goal (I hope). So swing chickens for me folks!

1. A tbsp Naturally More Peanut Butter (shame)
2. An eggchilada with some chipotle chicken, cheese and Greek yogurt.
3. Protein shake of some sort
4. Some of this dish I made yesterday that I can't figure out a name for (it goes up on BF in about 20 minutes). It has onions, chicken sausage, Swiss chard, tomatoes, cannelini beans and a whole bunch of spices and some tomato paste. It's yummy!
5. I may have a drink at D&B
6. When I get home I may have a Greek yogurt or one of those protein thingies I made

RNY Gastric Bypass 1-8-08 350/327/200 (HW/SW/CW). I spend most of my time playing with my food over at Bariatric Foodie - check me out!

Woohoo, weekend!

I was hoping to do my first 6.2m/10k run this morning and didn't. I did 7.2m/11.6k!!!! Wow, I never thought I could run that long, but I got into a groove and it was cool. Having "The Dark Knight Rises" soundtrack playing made me feel like Batman.

Definitely hungry when I got home so I had breakfast today. I might even have two afternoon snacks.
Breakfast: 1 egg with 1/3oz. swiss cheese on 2oz. wheat toast. Zucchini, tomato, and Canadian bacon hash on the side.
Snack: Bowl of raw carrots (approx 3.5oz)
Dinner: Homemade pizza or taco dip and some veggies.
Snack: Roasted eaches
Snack 2: Another egg and Canadian bacon probably. Maybe cheese instead of the egg. Ooooh or zucchini fritters. Decisions, decisions.

That's all for today. We're going to take a walk a little later this afternoon, but mostly just relaxing around the house.

Have a good Saturday all!
