I'm 5'2 and my goal is 126. I've lost over half in 3 1/2 months. You could set your goal higher and then once you meet it see if you want to reset it to lower. Good luck!

As long as your doing what your supposed to be doing your body will stop losing weight on its own. your goal od 160 is nice. once you get there your body might not be done. only time will tell really enjoy the ride sweetie!! :D

I used a normal BMI for my height for a goal. Plus I weighed that many years ago. My surgeon didn't give me a goal.

This is always a tough question.  At 5 ft the charts do probably say you should be between 100 and 125.  Unfortunately the charts were made up a LONG time ago and probably aren't the most current on things.  I'm 5'3" and my goal is 140-145.  It should really be the weight where you feel the best.  You may need some time to figure that out.

My surgeon doesn't give out goal weights. I started the process at 272 pounds. I'm 5' 1/2". I'm wanting my lifetime goal from 132 to 142. Which will be a loss of 140 to 130 pounds..a round number. Don't know if my body will fight me on it, but it's what I'm doing. You'll know when it's time to maintain. I have seen my NUT and surgeon, and they are both fine with my goal numbers.

My surgeon did not assign a goal weight. He said he wanted me to get to a BMI of 30. I decided what my goal weight would be as I got closer to a BMI of 30.

I came up with the range of 131 to 141 pounds because I had maintained my weight between this amount for 10 years when I was 31 to 41 years old.

Set mini goals right now and focus on those.  Your body will get to a set point sometimes down the road.  Make sure if you do choose something to shoot for that it's attainable, it's one thing I see often on OH and then people feel down and depressed because the magic number wasn't met.

If 160 is something you want then work toward that first and if you decide later to lose more and your body works with you to do that then it's another goal you can shoot for then.

I'm 4'11".  I was going to be happy at 140.  My  lowest was 111.  I have settled around 115-117.  Just keep on keeping on and you will get to where your body is happy.  I was amazed and I imagine you will be too.
