HIDA scan update
Ok so I had my HIDA scan today. They started my IV and put some dye in, put me on the machine and took pics of my liver for 1 hr. No problems.
They put something else into my IV to take pics of my gallbladder. Thats when all hell broke loose. Instantly the pain started but more intense than I had been feeling. It started on the right under my ribs and my back, then moved across my chest....and while all this was going on that area on the right side went hard as a rock. It felt as if all my organs on that side had turned to cement. I also got nauseaus at the same time. They started me breathing deep and fast like I did when I was in labor and put an alcohol pad under my nose to help with the nausea.
I have never been so convinced it is my gallbladder. I hope my dr is also convinced.

He told me to come in 8/23 for the results. It just seemed like my organs started twisting inside my body, then all of a sudden got really really heavy like bricks....ugggh and it seemed like it took forever to ease up. The heaviness finally eased out but the pain remains.
The tech looked at me like i was crazy when i said i have the pain all the time and it moves across my chest but if it wasnt my gallbladder i dont believe my body wouldve reacted like that.

You know you can have both- right? the GB issue and hernia and twisted bowels.
When I had my GB removal surgery (no stone - but full of sludge and very inflamed) the doc also found and fixed hernia. The told me taht he pulled a good few feel of small intestains out or the hernia. (yes - to go in there and get twisted- peterson hernia- and get stuck yin there.
late rhe told me he was wondering how i coud eat and function with bowels like that. I told him that last month I was mostly on liquids - and if I ate any solid food - I always hurt.
I hope they can fix whatever is wrong with you. Good luck.

They will know for sure when they do the surgery. The bowels - I mean - small intestines. They may be moving fine - but there may be some narrowing, twisting or swelling.
Or just inflammation.
Hope you know for sure soon.
