scared

Lol, sweetie, I cried like a baby and practically had convulsions the day of surgery, I was so scared. If I wasn't hooked up to an iv, I would have run! But I had some great nurses and an amazing anesthesiologist that really helped calm me down and made me feel a little better. Plus, once the meds get flowing, you won't be scared. Just nap time. :)
Its expected to be scared, but keep in mind WHY you're doing this. You'll get thru it just like all these vets on here have. That's what I've kept in my head for weeks.

Thanks so much, Jane. I know I have a long way to go, but I don't want anyone to back out of surgery because they're scared. I might still say I regret this decision more than anything, but I know once this pain in my side goes away, I'll be seeing that silver lining and ready to take on my next challenge. But like I said, I could never have made it this far without you and people like you. So thank you for all you've done. :)

Hey! We are surgery buddies - I am scheduled for the 29th too. I get scared too and I try to take a few deep breaths and remember all of the reasons why I decided to do this.
Keep reading the boards! They make me feel better!

And you both will be just fine! Just look how happy these people are when they get to post pictures of what they look like after dropping 100 lbs! It's more than worth it, as long as you put in the work.
Make sure you both keep us all posted and always always always post questions or concerns here. The people who've done this a long time ago are here to help and they're amazing at it. I know itd be rough for me to get this far without them. But you got this. :)

You are so normal. I changed my mind 50 times a day. As it got closer I cried, then I would be all excited and then I didn't know what the hell I wanted to do and I am 59 so please, you are going to be ok. I would be concerned if you weren't. I had my surgery this May and I love my life! In the beginning it was a little rough because I had not been put out before so i was scared of that. But you have good doctors and they will watch over you every second during surgery. Please post here when you are scared or excited, someone will be here to walk you through. Looking forward to having you sit with the rest of us on the loser's bench and believe me, this is a longgggggg bench! Take care, sweetie. Jane
