Surgery on a Monday, back to work on the next Monday.  No problems other than a little tired.

I took 2.5 weeks off - went back at 2 weeks ended up calling out sick the last 2 days of the week because I was exhuasted.

You just had a MAJOR surgery - I know I wasn't ready to go back after a week.

Maybe you can do half days?

I worked from home during week 2.  During week 3, I returned to work full-time.  It was hard to make it the entire day without falling asleep.  I was extremely tired during and after work.  Your body needs adequate time to recover and heal.  It really is in your best interest to stay at home and continue to recuperate.

I went back at 2 weeks, but was ready after 1.  Everyone is different though.  Many of my coworker friends were out for a month.  I would have gone insane being out that long.

If you do go back, take it easy.  Listen to your body.  Sitting was fine for me since I sit at a computer all day.

I am also worried about time.  I don't want to liken this to a lap chole or lap appy, but did anyone have their gallbladder or appendix removed prior to this surgery?  is it similar recovery?  i know everyone is differnt, but just trying to paint a picture!
