Yeah, mothers and daughters.  After struggling with my mom all my life, I finally figured out that it behooved me to try to keep my mouth shut when it comes to my daughter.  We have come to an arrangement:  I can offer advice (once) and she will listen (somewhat respectfully).  Then I keep my thoughts to myself.  .Maybe you could reach a similar agreement with your mom?  I think moms just want to feel that their thoughts are respected...because, after all, they ARE the mom.  LOL.
