When did you get the "Aha" moment? It has been 4 months since my RNY. I am still battling what I can and can't eat, throwing up when food gets stuck, heartburn, and feeling tired. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the weight loss but I have read on here that many people don't have that feeling of the surgery being the best thing they ever did until a few months after surgery. debbie
May I just jump in here and say that I too had difficulties wwith the throwing up and feeling tired etc... are you getting your bloodwork done ? My iron levels had dropped to almost critical in a very short period of time...good one bloodwork and crashed by the next. Also I had 3 strictures that had to be taken care of with an endoscopy with dialations....all within the first 4 months...the strictures did cause a lot of problems which sound similar to yours....I think it was at 6 months when the lights all came on!!! I am 6 days shy of my one year anniversary and 175 pounds down....HANG IN THERE!!!!!! It DOES get better and I dont think from that point on you will regret your decision at all!!!! Good luck!!! I hope this helps even just a little. :)

I dont think that I had my "aha" moment until about 6-8 months after surgery but i did have some complications.. pneumonia, as well as 3 ulcers in my new pouch and some new rectal issues as well. but i did know going into it that they were a possibility. But i knew going into suregey in 2011 was the best thing for me since I have struggled all of my life. :)
