LOL Kim.  Don't I wish. . . ??

That would definitely do it for me -- except that I became really sugar sensitive after the surgery.  About 12-15g of sugar is about all I can tolerate.

My goal is 136.  I went down to 126 and looked and felt great, but had flaps of loose skin that I had to tuck into my bra.  At 30 months I started to gain and gained up to 140 in about 3 months. Then I started working to get back down to 136 or 132, but my body kept gaining.  I was 142 for a while and filled out my bra again, but also had a muffin top.

I went to Weigh****chers, increased exercise, counted calories, points, fat, protein, tracked my weight religiously.

I had more gain and ended up at 145 or 146.  I had more than a year of being 10 pounds overweight no matter what I ate or how hard I worked out.  My body had decided to stop losing and start gaining and it did not seem to care what I did.

Last winter I went through a period of depression and really wanted nothing to eat for a while.  I was not trying to lose weight, but the good side effect of those bad months was that I ended up back at 136.

My bounceback weight did not come from changes in my diet and exercise.  My surgeon told me at my two year appointment that I was going to regain and he was right.  When I lost the weight I was down to eating a cup of yogurt and a little fruit once or twice a day.  And it was more than a month before I lost a few pounds and about three months for the full 10 pounds to disappear.

I'm not meaning this to be critical but stop obsessing over a few pounds on any given day and go with what is healthy...ie...good diet with adequate nutrition, moderate exercise, and healthy life style (play, family, friends)...If there is an issue, talk it over with your doctor to see what they think and go from there...just my thoughts, good luck

If the weight is continuing to drop, you might want to have the doctor check your thyroid levels.  Being hyperthyroid causes weight loss (but also causes some less desirable physical issues).  In the very early stages of the Graves Disease that I had back in 1989, I had a lot of energy and felt great and was losing weight even though I was eating normally (which was a GOOD thing, so i did mot consult my doctor).  As it progressed, it became clear that I was ill and I started to feel bad, but I felt great as the weight was dropping for about 5 or 6 months.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

Lora,

That's one of the first things the doctor checked.  My TSH came back at 2.11 -- well within the normal range.  At this point, it's just a "wait and see" for the next 3 months until I go back for my 3 yr. post-op checkup -- unless it continues to drop.  We'll just cross that bridge when we get to it, I guess.

One thing that *might* help is that I was also recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia, in addition to the Lupus.  One of the medicines I was given for the pain can also cause weight gain -- which for me would be a GOOD thing right now.  LOL!!

I really appreciate everyone's input.  I'll up the good carbs for awhile and see if that makes a difference.  Like I said earlier, my only real complaint with the sudden weight loss is that I'm sitting on bones because it's like I lost it all in my butt padding.  Other than that, I feel fine and have a lot of energy.  I guess what I went through last year has left me kind of shell shocked and panicky.
