So, I'm curious if other women have developed more yeast infections post-op? I've never had them before a few weeks ago, and now I'm on my second one. Is it from the hormonal release? Weakened immune system because I'm recovering from surgery? I just want this to just go away. Grrrr...

it could be from all the antibiotics we were on in the hospital , I had thrush ( yeast infection in the mouth )  try some probiotics , that may help

Oh yeah...I forgot about that. I'll just need to call my doctor in the AM to get an anti-fungal prescription. I started taking Probiotics again, and got a Monistat-1 kit, but I have noticed the white film on my tongue.

*sigh* I'm just a hot mess! LOL

In addition to what everyone else said - don't use monistat one or three day.  I know it sounds awful, but use the 7 day.  The 1 and 3 day kits are SO harsh on your sensitive tissues down there.  Just a recommendation.  Oh, and nystatin is the best!

Have you changed soap recently? I am really sensitive to soaps, which causes infections for me.  Probiotics and greek yogurt.  My OB/GYN has also said to skip the 1 and 3 day treatments and go for the 7 day.  I also like Azo-Yeast.

They do suck, don't they?

No change in soap. I've been using sensitive skin Dove for a while now, and we use all unscented detergents/fabric softeners because my husband and I both have eczema.

Its just the weirdest thing because I've NEVER had one before a few weeks ago. Oh well...I guess it was my time. LOL

EDIT: I won't be on my next food stage until Tuesday, so no Greek yogurt til then. Ugh...

when you talk to your dr  , let them know you have the white in your mouth but have yeast infrection at the other end to, my Dr calls in pills, either for 1 or  3 days, i get relief the first day taking them, just a thinker ,,,, it is miserable but agree, it has to be allthe anitbiotics they pumped into you, that is the only time i ever get one, but sure cant remember the name of the pill!!
