sugar free syrups??

If you have a Cash & Carry near you, they have TONS of SF syrup flavors (like more than I can count), at less than half the price of Netrition or Amazon. I imagine that if you don't have Cash & Carry, you may have some other variety of restaurant supply store that is open to the public.
I use them to make protein sorbet:
2 scoops unflavored or vanilla protein powder (or more if you don't mind the taste)
1 cup chopped frozen fruit (mango is my fave)
1/2 cup SF syrup (Monin mango is my fave)
dash of lemon or lime juice for tartness, if desired (and I do!)
1 1/2 cups cold water
Whiz in the blender, run through the ice cream maker and freeze in portion sizes (depending on how much protein you want to get out of it, or how much you want to eat at once). For me, it makes about 5 portions with about 10 grams of protein each. For eating, pull out of the freezer and nuke for 30 seconds or let sit on the counter for an hour. This gives the best consistency, at least for me. You should be able to eat this at the pureed stage; I would ask your doc about eating it before that. Since it is essentially liquid, I can eat more than 1/2 cup of it easily. Just something to be aware of.
I eat so much protein ice cream and sorbet that I would totally grab the ice cream maker if the house caught on fire. Possibly before grabbing the family photos.
