I'm having some trouble with my computer

I don't know what the deal is.  I think I just need a new laptop but I can't really afford one right now.  Currently I have no problem starting threads on OH but sometimes my computer will not let me post a reply to someone else's post.  Other times it will.  I dunno why.  It's doing some other weird things, too.  I'm around, though, and reading, I just may not be posting a lot until I figure out what's wrong with my computer.  So I just wanted to say, if someone is looking for me, try sending me a PM.  So far my computer lets me respond to those.

Sometimes computers drive me nuts.  They are like cars in that they periodically do weird things and it's hard to figure out why and you have to pay someone a lot of money to figure it out for you and then pay them even more money to fix it.  And you hate to buy a new one because they are expensive but you really want a reliable one!

Um, I need a new car along with a new laptop.  I think I need to win the lottery.  which will be tough to do since I never play.

Know what your saying about computers. We bought our granddaughter a laptop when she started college last August.  This week it decided to crash (something about mother board) at 1 year and 14 days.  Yep the warrantee was only good for 1 year.  Thank goodness it was only a low value $400+ starter  unit.

Kelly, if you get time and your computer cooperates with you, could you look at my lab results I posted yesterday.  I really would appreciate it because I value your opinion on figuring out just what it is they are showing.  I only received 2 good responses and I was hoping for more.  I just looked and I found my post (Have My Lab Results - What Do They Mean?) on page 4 and the time shown was 15 hrs ago.  I think that was about between 2:00 and 3:00 PM. PST.

Thanks

Hey, now it's letting me reply!

I read your post last night.  My computer just wasn't cooperating.

If I remember correctly, your protein is low.  Ideally, your total protein would be at least 7.0.

Your B12 was reported as high but it's really fine.  It's a little high, but a little high is actually good with B12.

Your iron was OK, if I remember correctly.

I'd keep doing whatever you're doing with iron and B12 and up the protein.

Along with a virus scan try using this http://www.malwarebytes.org/lp/malware_lp/?gclid=COrYh56MhrI CFeaDQgodBUkAXw
It has really helped fix problems I've had with my computer.  Worse case scenerio I wind up reinstalling my OP every year or so, of course after backing everything up.  I can't afford a new computer, too, so far these things have helped a lot.  Of couse sometimes it's just a hardware issue and there isn't much you can do about those unless you know a lot about computers.  I've also had luck finding computer help on Craigslist.  There are a lot of computer geeks out there who will fix your computer for peanuts.  I hope you get things resolved soon.  I miss seeing your posts.

I used to used Eset's NOD32, but it required $39 or several packaged computer updates for ove $100 per year.  I've had Micro Trend antivirus on a Best Buy laptop and one of them failed.  I've been using Vipre, and it just updated to Vipre 2012 yesterday.  Did a full scan and found some mid range threats that Micro Trend had let through.  I got my copy of Vipre from HSN and it comes on a memory stick good for 3-5 computers, at a realistic price.  Seems to work well, is updated often, and NO $$$$ for annual updates. You get updates forever. It's made by Sunbelt Software. Just checked HSN, 3 PC version is $100, 5 PC version is $120. DAVE
