tooth brush/paste , I took make-up LOL
PJ's to wear home
I had someone stay with me full time ( always do)
It is all very exciting !!!!

Thank you everyone for the input! Chapstick is definitely one I have on my list. I have 3 or 4 tubes in my purse at all times, so that one is already able to be marked off the list. Although, my doc said not to bring ANYTHING with me, to send it with my driver/loved one.
I do have some pretty fun non-skid socks I'm planning on wearing. that way, if I feel like crap, I'll look at my socks as I walk walk walk and hopefully they'll put a smile on my face. if not on mine, surely someone else will smile at my insanity!
Thank you again! and if you have any other thoughts, recommendations, please, post on!

So excited for you.
I had my surgery at Washington Regional. Not sure where yours is. They have a great "head" nurse of their bariatric area. She came down before I had any of my surgery prep done and talked to me and my fiance about what was about to happen.
When I hit the post-op room I felt well prepared.
Be prepared to be up and walking way earlier than you think you should.
Don't fight it. The walking will help you so, so much to get all the extra air and gas out of your system.
You most likely will even have some walking buddies (even in the middle of the night) because Dr. Roller does several people on his surgery days.
You know I'm here if you have any questions. Direct msg me. :O)
Praying for you to have as good an experience as I did.
Well minus the whole month later gall-bladder, kidney stone, blot clot fiasco.
You'll do great girl!!
Take chapstick or something for sure. Your mouth and lips get so dry and it will be a while before you can have liquids even post-op.

Not sure if this will help but I wore a very loose fitting dress home. I just had to pull it over my head....I wasn't about having to bend to get into shorts or pajama bottoms...but you look smaller and much younger than me :) so you might be alright! My surgeon didn't allow us to shower before we lef the hospital cause I sure wanted too! He said 24 hours after arriving home and by the time I got home, I was ready for bed! We live 3 hours from the hospital and I had to go by my Mom's to get my son...plus stopping every hour so I could walk a little. I was just beat. :)
It's a great thing!! You'll be so happy!!
Take care and keep us posted!!
