In less than 8 weeks I have lost 27 pounds!  I still can hardly believe it!!

The first 3 weeks were sheer hell (dehydration, vomiting, bowel obstruction with re-admit) BUT now I feel incredible!  My energy has finally started to come back.  Eating is getting easier and the variety has gotten bigger.  I can eat 2-3 ounces at each meal and usually don't feel sick anymore.  I am learning to make good food choices - and that is the best feeling ever.

I feel like I might actually be able to do this!  Maybe in the next couple of weeks I will be under 200 for the first time in 3 years!

You are doing awesome!  It is a hard road but once you get yourself on the right track everything looks better.  I still have bad days and I am still learning what works for me.  I still have a tough time when I look in the mirror and believing what I see.  This transformation is amazing, I just wish I had of done this earlier.

Isn't it great!?!  I finally feel like I have some control back in my life...what a blessing!! I do get anxious and need talked down off the ledge when I haven't seen the scale move in the right direction but I tell ya...this literally saved my life and gave me hope once again!  Sorry you had those issues but sounds like you are on the right track and doing what you need too! Life is only going to get better!

Have a GREAT day!

You are exactly right!  It is the feeling of control that makes me happy.  I was spiraling out of control for the past 2 years and now I feel like I have a choice of what I put in my body.  Glad you are doing so well yourself!

I think it is 8 weeks since surgery.
I count 53 pounds gone in about 12-13 weeks or so...when I was in pre-op mode.

I count my blessings that I have only had about a day and a half of feeling miserable.
Alas, I am rather constipated...without colace.

Yet, at the same time, I think I'm getting a little complacent.
I WILL BE more watchful as September begins.

If you're heading for 200, that is SUPERB.  I was "over 3", so I've got more months to get close to 200.  Sad to say, but it has been 40 years since the first number on the scale was a "1".

Just my opinion.

The last time I was in onederland was 1984!  Now, I am 6 lbs from that!  But I've been losing super slow. I didn't make my goal of onederland by my year anniversary, as my weight loss decreased from 5-6 lbs a month in May/June to 2-3 lbs in July/August.

My surgeon told me to expect about 15-20 pounds the first month and about 8 pounds every month afterwards.  So far he's on the money.  I need to start exercising, though.

This is great - so glad for you and happy that you're feeling better.

It is amazing how the weight just falls off - I'm 2+ years out and remember vididly the "magic" of watching the weight come off every week.

I remember finally weighing less than my husband, then less then my son in law.  It's an amazing feeling and one you'll feel soon when you're under 200.  I actually cried when the scale said 197.  It was the first time I'd been under 200 in over 30 years!

Take care and enjoy the expience!
