Do you remember anything from when they put you under?

They gave me something in my IV an hour or so before I was wheeled back too relax me...and let me tell you - that was some good stuff!!! I remember being wheeled into the operating room and them putting the mask on and telling me it was just oxygen. The next thing I remember was waking up in my room. I dont remember anything from recovery.

I remember getting wheeled to the or and scooting onto the surgery table. Then the anesthesiologist gave me something in my iv that hurt (I have problems with things burning really bad if they pu**** too fast) I reached over to rub my hand (where the iv was) and said ouch and then I remember him putting the mask on me and that was it I was out like a light!
I remember waking up in the recovery area. My dad took a pic of me and I looked like I had been run over by a truck. The pain was not horrible but then again I was on morphine. I didn't even need all the morphine in the push button drip!

I walked into the OR layed in the table and said hi to everyone. The anesthesiologist said, okay, I'm gonna give you something to make you sleepy. I was in the middle of asking how long it would take to knock me out, and only got to, "how long...." before I was out. Next thing I remember is being in the recovery room and for some reason they kept asking me why I kept pulling out my IV line. They had to put it back in four times before they realized that since I was cold I kept sitting on my own hands to keep them warm, therefore pulling out the line. They gave me something else and I woke up in my room with my hubby next to me. The rest was hazy.

THey gave me something in the surgical prep room. It was GOOD stuff! I can see why people take drugs. ;-) So...I was out before they even put a mask on me. The anthesiologist and I lived in the same zip code so he was very friendly to me! (It's rare for a patient to go to a hospital 60 miles away but its where insurance sent me)
My first two operations I was given something to relax me beforehand but with this bypass I had nothing beforehand. I only really felt panicky when I saw the doors to the operation door open.
My heart rate jumped up before the bypass as I looked around as I saw the staff preparing everything. I saw one guy look at the monitor and rise his eyebrows. I guess somebody slipped up and forgot to give me something to relax. But ok, I went to sleep and woke up.
I remember just going to sleep and waking up all three times. I have to say this was the most painful operation I have had to date. Thank goodness for that morphine pump!

Everything went smooth for me. I was first on the list for surgery and had absolutely no bad memories. I was ready for the surgery. I remember the IV and I closed my eyes and said a little prayer and went out while praying. I woke up in my room and was never in pain even with the open RNY, band, gallbladder and cyst removal. I just felt weak and wanted to sleep but had to keep getting up to walk and such.

I remember being wheeled into the OR, and then being transferred from the bed to the OR table. Then I remember waking up in recovery. Absolutely no memory of anything else! :)

I remember being wheeled to the OR and the Anesthesiologist singing Happy Birthday to me and the nurses strapping my arms down. The next thing I remember is waking up in OR and them un strapping my arms. It seemed like no time at all..
"For I know the Plans I have for you" ...Jeremiah 29:11
They gave me versed in the prep area and I remember being wheeled down the hallway and into the OR but that's it. The next thing I recall is waking up in a tremendous amount of pain in recovery. Morphine did nothing for me--I actually didn't start to feel much comfort until I was significantly more awake and able to get out of bed. Lortab was more help to me than morphine, oddly enough.
