Pre-Op Diet Funny

I start my pre-op diet tomorrow...I learned I was approved, and surgery was scheduled on Wednesday - I've been planning all the good things I was going to eat today since then....I realized at 6pm that I had not eaten anything all day - how disappointing!! 

As I type this I am enjoying my last diet dr. pepper from Sonic...

That's a good sign.  That means it didn't really mean all that much to you.  I, however, start my pre op diet tomorrow too and gorged (not really) myself today and my stomach is paying for it now.  Good luck!

 1st shake day so far Trader Joes chocolate is the winner.

I'm on Day 5 of pre-op diet.  The first couple of days were hard, not so much because of hunger, but because the reality of losing all choice of what I could eat (for the next two weeks) and knowing I might never be able to eat some of my favorite foods again (donuts, chocolate cake, Mexican food) really hit me hard.  It was almost like I had lost a very special friend.  I even started wondering if I really wanted to go through with the surgery.  However, I stuck it out through those first two days, and now I'm doing great.  Oh, I do have a little hunger, though not nearly as much as I expected, and when I see food that's off-limits - pretty much everything!  - I certainly feel a few pangs. 

So, hang in there!  Stay the course!  You're almost there!
