Ok so I had to break down & start using protein shakes again during my breaks at work so I could get in additional protein in. All I can say is Blah! I did not miss them one bit.

I know what you mean. I mix mine up & look at it for about a minute like "do I really have to drink this?" I thought I would never go back to them again, but since I changed hours at my job I am on the phone constantly all day long & can't eat something here & there like I could in the overnights. I'm back to struggling to get in at least 60g anymore. Oh well I suck it up & guzzle it down even tho I don't want to. Lol

I'm with you.  In the past 6 months my protein level has dropped from 7 to 6.4, so I'm back to supplementing with the shakes.

Yeah, I thought I would never go back to using them once I started eating real food. Unfortunately for me to get in what I need everyday this is what I have to do for now. It sucks tho, big time.

I'm using what I had left over from my 2 weeks preop liquid diet. Bariatric Advantage Orange creme & unflavored. They aren't terrible, but they aren't the best either.

I have to say I had to take a break from the powder. I drink Premier Protein premade drinks 30g of protein and I like the vanilla and chocolate.  I take the vanilla and mix in some flavored powder coffee stuff and it's really good.  I am struggling lately at drinking them as well - I swear its either i get in all my protein or all my water - never both. lol

Yeah it can be difficult at times to get it all in. Especially if you get busy & forget to eat or drink. This feels like a full time job in an of itself. I feel like I'm constantly thinking "ok when am I eating next & what am I eating next & Drink Drink Drink"

i completely agree...i've been having issues with integrating new foods...seems like certain things are causing me a lot of pain...feels like it gets "stuck"  right underneath my sternum all the way to my back..not only uncomfortable, but painful...the pain doesn't get relieved until i throw it up   so i'm now having to really pay attention to what i'm eating/drinking/doing when it happens to see if it's just a certain type of food that i'm not ready to eat, or if maybe i have a stricture, which they say is pretty serious....but i did weigh in again today..i'm down another 6lbs in 4 days!  that makes me feel better as i was at a plateau for about a week and a half.  i am now trying i think it's called ens shakes..it has like 40g protein and 0 sugar...can't beat that..hopefully it doesn't taste awful like the last one!
