Day 4,395 of my liquid diet (not really, but ya know) and I just can't bring myself to do one more BA shake.  I have tried numerous things to get them to taste better and while I may have succeeded on a couple of occasions, they just aren't good!  If I can get a whole one down they upset my stomach so bad that I'm belching up vitamin or iron or something about 20min later....and all day long!  They make me nauseous and then it's hard for me to get anything else down the rest of the day.  I'm frustrated.

Same here.  I switched to ISOPURE.  They are not as thick.

Ugh, BA shakes are the worst. I actually bought a few to try - couldn't get past 1 sip of the first one. It went in the trash!!
Try GNC ready to drink lean shake - this was allowed by my dietician but you should check with yours. The strawberry tastes like Strawberry Nesquik - milk mix, yummy!

Try other brands. There's lots. I love my protein shakes, but I've had some really gaggy ones before I found the BSN brand.

what is the nutritional criteria for protein shakes? ex cals, carbs , sugars preotein?

One serving should have 18-25g of protein and 5 sugars or less. Calories and total carbs vary but calories should be 150 or less optimally and total carbs under 15g. Which is probably kinda liberal. The BSN I use has 7g of carbs, 3g of sugar, 130 calories and 21g of protein per scoop.
