I wasn't a large baby. Actually started gaining weight at 5 years old once I has my tonsils and adenoids removed. I struggled with my weight my entire life after. I'm maintaining 7 years post-op.

Having my tonsils out was when I started to gain weight too.  I have always connected the tonsilectomy as the trigger.  I slimmed down in highschool and until I was 30 when our second child was born.  It was a difficult time for us and I started a business when the baby was 10 months old.  I multitasked for the next 40 years and the work caught up with me.  I became the least important person in our home and everything else had to get done first, including meals ( I blame myself for lettting it happen).  There is a 50% genetic factor in my ancestry so that didn't help.

Started gaining weight when I was 7. By 11 I weighed 170, by my senior year in high school I was almost 300. Before I started gaining weight as a kid, I was almost *too thin*. Boy, that didn't last long.

Didn't have a weight problem until my late 20's. I was a puny kid.

Basically all of my life.  I do remember my mom saying that I wouldn't eat as a toddler and to take Flintstones a lot.  I still blame it on the Flintstones to this day. Lol.  I remember waying 190 on my 4th grade ID.  I also was still obese with my band; only lost 40.  All of it is back and then some.

Well that sounds familiar.

Did you have a specific problem with the band that approved you for the revision? Mine has been denied.

I am trying for the appeal. I am scared to fail again :(

I just couldn't get the weight off like I thought.  Didnt control hunger either. Just made me say I had to stop eating or else I would have problems(stuck, vomit, etc.) So I started in Jan going to do my 6 month primary doc visits and joined WW(3rd time and knowing that it wasn't going to work) as if I never had WLS before. So I made an appt with surgeon and they sent off paper work.   I got scoped also, had some erosion below not from band, had this before on another scope. Had H Pylori. He put me on Prevapac. BCBS wanted to see where I had paid for band.  I was approve with no problem.
