I don't think so.  After I was 6 weeks out I ate it.  So far the only thing I have a hard time with is salad.

By 8 weeks I was allowed beef. Just make sure it is chewed up real well.

I started with ground beef.  Once I had no issues with it, I tried other meats.

The worst case scenario is that you do not chew it well enough OR that your body does not allow beef at this time.

Good luck in your experiment.

I was eating it that early out and was fine with it. Steak sits better in my pouch than chicken.

Like anything new...Try a small amount at home.  Wait a few minutes and see if the pouch objects.  If you're now sure down there, STOP!!  Do not pass "GO", do not collect $200.  Wait and see, the proceed slowly.  If something feels wrong down there or if your nose starts to run or you start to hiccup WAIT.  Just be patient when you introduce new foods...

It should be okay. I made pulled beef (like pulled pork) with a low sugar BBQ sauce last week and I did fine with it.

I think you are too early out to eat stew beef, even if its soft and tender...What does your surgeon/nutritionist say about eating beef at the stage?

I am just a little over 6 years out, and still have trouble eating stew beef...I can do hamburger/ground chuck if chewed real good...The beef just wants to get stuck, leaving me sick for hours...Good luck in whatever you decide.

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only TRUE FRIENDS will leave footprints in your heart...And may that friendship have such a ONENESS that when one weeps the other will taste salt...Friends are like balloons ; once you let them go you can't get them back....So I'm going to tie you to my heart so I never lose you.

What are the recommendations of your surgical team?  My surgeon provided very specific eating guidelines that we were expected to adhere to.

If your surgeons allows for it, than by all means give it a shot; otherwise, I'd stick with the dietary guidelines that were given.

You might want to try some deli roast beef or the meat off an Arby's roast beef sandwich first.  Very thinly sliced, and chew well.
