I am only 5 days out from surgery...I was sent home on pureed foods.

I was told I could have 2-3 ounces at a meal.

Any suggestions for food at this stage that will be easy on my stomach?

I'm 4 weeks out and still having food issues. My pureed foods have consisted of Plain Greek yougurt with baked potato(Just for flavor). It was great! So sick of sweet protein shakes. 1/4 to1/2 cup of yougurt and about 1 tablespoon of potato. I put lo sodium organic chicken broth to smooth out the potato. Eat slow. No liquids while or at least half hour after eating (I'm sure you know that, but I need to reinforce that in my own brain!) Have tolerated scrambled egg beaters(very soft cooked) TRied pureed rotiserri chicken dark meat, but it was just OK on taste. I'm keeping an eye on your post for some more ideas. I am also lactose intolerant afer surgery. Hope this changes!

Congrats on your surgery! 5 days post op I was still on full-liquid diet but when I went on puree it was cottage cheese, yogurts, chili, mashed beans, soups, broths, even meatloaf slightly pureed in my chopper, kinda sounds yuck but I mixed with tomato and it wasn't bad. I had to keep everything pretty wet though, I can't imagine all these foods in your brand new pouch......spices might be hard for you. Best of luck to you on your new life!!!

I started purees yesterday.  I did fine with refried beans and cheese.  Then for lunch today I tried scrambled eggs and cheese... it's like it got stuck.  A sip of water and the feeling is gone.  Guess I will have to try eggs later... bummer, they are packed with protein :(

at 5 days I was still on full liquids, however now that I am on pureed foods here is what I eat : pureed soups, tuna (chew, chew, chew!) , cottage cheese, ricotta cheese bake (yum!!! best thing i have eaten so far haha). I havent had but heard you can have refried beans, carrots cooked very soft, pureed chicken (did try and it hurt my tummy too much).

Today I bought a rotissere chicken from the deli, cut off 3 oz of breast meat and put it and 1/2 cup of Heinz classic chicken gravy in the food processer and blended it up and it was awesome. I have also had blended egg salad, tuna salad, and chili! All of it was good.
