9 months post op w/pics and a question about "goal" weight

I, like others, went by my height and healthy BMI. My goal weight for a healthy BMI is 133. I am currently 153, so 20 more lbs. my doctors goal weight for me is 120, which honestly I can't see myself getting to that weight. And my goal was to get to 150 lbs. so I'm close to what I had initially decided. But I think you've done an amazing job and your body probably will tell you when you it's time to stop.

You'd have to get down to 115 to be considered "underweight" for your height. I think you will be fine. I've only known of a handful of people here who actually needed to worry about getting too thin. By the 2-3 year mark it seems to all even out for most of us. Just worry about continuing to make the right choices so that regain does not bite you in the butt

You really will just have to wait and see what happens. Some people are completely done losing before they are a year out while others (who may have had the same amount to lose) can continue to lose for several months beyond that.  If you start losing too much, the fix is easy... more carbs (healthy ones, though) and more calories.

You look great!

My starting weight was 243 and my goal was 143, well I'm at 123 and 5'7".  At first I thought I looked to thin but after a few years your weight seems to re-adjust and I think I look fine.  Anyways I figure if I do have any re-gain down the line I could still be at my goal.
