I'm straight above ND in Saskatchewan and while we haven't had snow it really felt like it this morning.  I was wearing three layers of shirts and a heavy fall jacket, gloves, scarf and I had to run to my building from my parking stall.  I'm so dang cold!  I also need to buy a real winter coat since none of my ones from last year fit!

I was always freezing when I was my heaviest, I have no idea how I'm going to survive winter.  Last night I had to have a bath just to warm up to go to bed.  Its not looking promising.  Though even with all this I do not want my fat layers back!  I'll just keep layering up until warmth hits!

I'm with ya there. I would rather be freezing than to have all the weight I once had back.

I'm originally from NC so I know what you experience for winters. Lol I just moved to ND almost 2 years ago. It is drastically different. Lol If I could send you some I sure would.

Send the snow to Ohio!!!!

My dad and I used to run around the house in the winter in short sleeves and I wouldn't wear a coat  just to and from wor****il it got into the 30s, but now my heavy sweatshirts, angora mix socks, down bootie slippers, down comforters, down filled mittens, and long down Commuter coat (from Lands End) -- do you see a pattern here?!? -- are my best friends from October to March.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

Haha! I hear ya Lora. I honestly don't know how I'm going to survive. I've never in my life been cold, well with the exception of the 30 below weather I've experienced here in ND. Lol When you go outside & you feel that if you blink your eye lashes are going to shatter, its too cold. I definitely wouldn't mind shipping the snow all over the place. Evenly distribute it out, ya know.

My mom went to Russia in winter one year......only my mom would do that!  She bought some
silk long underwear - long sleeved tees and pants, and swore they were the best.  Not bulky at all.  She grew up in Rochester NY so was no stranger to cold and snow.

Try the silk long johns!
