Yes. Also recently taking multigen (iron) taking b 12 3 x a week. Feel nauseated too because I think I am constipated.

Get your iron checked.

Multigen has ferrous fumarate and we don't absorb that well. Far better alternatives for us are carbonyl iron (Vitalady's Tender Iron or Sundown's Perfect Iron or Feosol's carbonyl iron) or Proferrin. Proferrin is amazing, but it's expensive too. Carbonyl doesn't cause the problems ferrous forms of iron do such as constipation. Multigen is a multivitamin plus iron.. if you're taking Multigen and another multi, you're probably taking too much zinc and/or folic acid at once. That can definitely cause nausea.

I also don't like iron bundled with a multivitamin. It is mixed in with its enemies that compete with it for absorption and the other guys usually win. I always take mine separate from everything except copper and Vitamin C. Those help absorption.

YES!!!! I'm tired all the time, I don't know why I live off of caffeine in order to get anything done! I started adding in more iron and I"m not sure if that is helping yet.

Hello.....  No, I have had the opposite reaction!  I am 5 weeks post-op today and I feel like the Energizer Bunny!  I have been off work for 5 weeks and go back next Wednesday.  While off, I have painted the living room, the master bedroom, cleaned out my closet and now am painting the hall bathroom!  I have only lost 20 lbs, so that is bumming me out, so I stay busy to not think about the scale.  I am having trouble getting in the protein and enough fluids.  I take Vit B-12 ( liquid) and iron.  Do you take those too?  I think they help alot.  My husband swears that the surgeon must have altered my energy level while doing my surgery!  Maybe your Doc can draw some labs to see what is off...  Good Luck, hope this passes soon.....  :)

I was the energizer bunny beginning at 6 weeks! It was amazing! Before that I felt like a turd in a lawn mower. My ex said the surgeon was lying about prescribing acid reducers, they must've been amphetamines instead.

Is your B12 sublingual? If not, it needs to be cause we cant absorb tany other forms and I know you have to take a certain type of iron,(ferrous fumarate/gluconate) cause theres one that will constipate you. I'll have to look it up, cause I cant remember exactly which it is.

All of the ferrous types of iron will constipate you. Carbonyl iron doesn't really cause constipation. I take 300mg of elemental carbonyl per day (which is a huge dose) and don't have any. 300mg of elemential iron from ferrous anything and you'd never poop again.
