Too much exercise?

I am officially 6 months post rny today. I am down 82 pounds. I eat only till satisfied, protein first, I'm sure you know the drill. Just wondering if there is such a thing as too much exercise. I work out (usually on my bike or using arm weights) anywhere from 90 minutes to 3+ hours a day 5-6 days a week. I track the calories burnt off on my bike and they are sometimes in excess of 600 calories a day. I know that I don't consume that much in a day's time. Can some of you vets, or exercise guru's tell me if this is all right. I do meet my protein, water and supplement goals on a regular basis. I just don't count calories, but my tracker does. It puts me around 400-500 calories a day.

Not sure if this answers your question, but I have heard thst if you go into the negitive calorie wise on a daily basis then your weight loss may slow signf.

Personally, yes, I think it's too much. But I think a better question to ask yourself, is why are you exercising so much? What is your intent? And even better question, is that pace/level/intensity of exercise something you can maintain for the rest of your life?

I want to have a fit, healthy lifestyle and maintain that for the rest of my life. But as in all things, it needs to have a level of moderation. I exercise approximatley one hour a day 6 days a week. I run, walk, lift weights, take cardio classes, do yoga, hike, bike, garden, yard work, stretch, etc. I want to have a normal relationship with food and exercise, not to lose weight quickly or get to goal soonest, but rather to be a healthy, fit, athletic woman who is trim, vital and energetic. And to achieve that end is how I fashion my food consumption and my exercise output.

YMMV, but do ask yourself, what is your purpose and your intent and what will you be capable of doing and maintaining for the rest of your life.....
