Is it really this easy?

I called my insurance company to see if they got my paper work. They got it today and they told me, get this, they have only 48hours to say yes or no. So I will know that soon?? And I should have a date at the end of the week if my insurance company says yes. So now something is going to go wrong because that was way to easy.

I saw told it would take my insurance 4 weeks for a answer but the dr. office knew in about 48 hours.
I did have all my pre-approval tests and visit completed with all the info they asked for plus lost weight on the 4 months pre-approval diet also however. After my dr. office had the approval they gave me a list of 3 dates to pick from. Of course I picked the earliest one.
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!! Now you will want to get things done around the house before surgery and make sure you bring slippers, Bert's Bee lip balam and socks and an extra side pillow with you to the hospital.

Thanks guys. I didn't know it would be so fast. I was told it would take up to four weeks. The insurance person told me as should as they got an answer they mail it out in the mail. They said they would contact my provider...aren't they my provider? I'm just waiting for something to go wrong.
No, when they say provider they mean health care professional, ie, surgeon, pcm, etc.
Now kick that defeatist thinking to the curb. Do you meet your insurance company's criteria? If yes, and I can't imagine your surgeon's office would waste any time on your case if they didn't think they would get an approval, and all paperwork was submitted correctly, then you will know soon.
good luck
