I've been feeling a bit run down since about 4 weeks out, and when I went to my 6 week follow-up, I mentioned it. I had some lab work done, and just got my results today. My iron is low (shocking--not really), and my Vitamin D is low, which I was surprised at. Thankfully, my folic acid, B12 and B1 look good, so I'm not to worried about those. Now, I can tweek my iron and Vitamin D supplements, and get those levels up. I go back in a month and a half for my 3 month follow-up, so hopefully, there will be a significant difference.

It's always great when you can see the numbers and know what you're up against.  I had my labs done last week in preparation of my visit with my PCP on the 24th. I can't wait to see where I stand with all my numbers.

Vuitamin D is frequently low in even people who have not had weight loss surgery it's just that most doctors don't really check it unless a person is having problems. I was deficient in D before I had surgery so am on a pretty high dose now.
