My chin/neck

A few years ago, I had thyroid cancer with a total thyroidectomy.  When I first thought about WLS after the thyroid surgery, it was a concern that having had that surgery, not much elasticity with age, and a fairly rapid weight loss...I may have terrible turkey neck or droopy chin.  Along with my other fears, is the fear of choking or other complications that go along with not chewing my food well enough.  As a result of THAT fear, I chew like crazy!  I chew until the food is nearly liquid in my mouth.  I looked at a photo of myself from a few days ago and am thinking that my chewing may be offsetting the droopy chin/neck?  One can hope!
Now if I can figure out how to keep the underarm wings away!

P.S. Not related to the above subject. I tried some ham with a cheese stick today for lunch. I'm thinking the ham may have been too dry, even though I used a bit of mustard to moisten it. I'm still feeling it in my throat.  Had a bit of gurgling in the tummy, but nothing came up.  I've yet to eat dinner because of the feeling.

I'm almost 5 months out and have to Ham has always been one meat my pouch is ok with but doesn't always sit well.  I'd stick to chicken or turkey and you won't feel so bleh. :)
