Cheaters?
So I am a little over 3 months out. I am down about 55 pounds. Well I still can't eat much but I have found that I eat stuff maybe in the gray area. For instance, for dinner I just had a chickfila sandwich. (Not the whole thing and I haven't eaten many other calories today - mostly fruit and stuff). But I am in school and work, both full time
As I read your post I am eating a melba toast with melted cheese... And part of me was thinking, do I really need to eat a carb right now? So of course there must be 1000 other things that are worse, but I did just question my Melba toast cracker lol so not really cheating, but I made the choice to eat it even tho I could have just had cheese with no added carb...

OK, I'll do the preaching ... ie, not pat her hand but give her suggestions on how to work her surgery, lose the weight and maintain it for the rest of her life!
That's a very passive aggressive commentary and will preclude a lot of helpful suggestions because some might not feel comfortable giving advice if they are already labelled "preachers". I don't give a toss, so I'll go ahead and try help her ...
ETA: You had your surgery 5 days ago? How many Chick-Fil-A sandwiches have you had so far????

At the risk of sounding "preachy"........I'll chime in too.
You are 3 months out. This is the time you should be re-training your body to adapt to new, healthy habits. That isn't to say that a Chikfila sandwich isn't healthy...it can be a decent choice if you get it on the whole wheat bun and get the grilled chicken and no mayo...only yellow mustard-and throw away the top bun.
At 3 months out, I would've choked on this sandwich.....way too dry and dense for me in the early days. My fast food "go to" if I had to do it was pintos and cheese from Taco Bell.
Don't use being "busy" or "working" as an excuse. This is the time to get into really good habits because later, when hunger returns, you'll need them. There are many fast food options that are decent, although not ideal. You are not a victim, and food is just food-try not to view food as "evil"....some choices are just better for your body than others.
Now, that isn't to say that I don't eat some stuff that isn't ideal...the difference is I am in maintenance and have been for over two years.
Bottom line-change now, or post frantic questions about "getting back on track" later.
I'm sure it's very challenging to both work and study full time but his is your health we are talking about. You are only 3 months out and already testing the limits - this would be ok if it were very occasionally but I get the impression this is more the norm than the exception?
The only suggestion I have for you - as someone who has been doing this a looooong time is planning - cook good healthful things when you have free time (weekend?) and package them for the freezer - that way you just have to take one or two out every day and find somewhere to heat it up - assuming you have access to a microwave at work?
This is a lifelong journey and you have a finite time to lose your excess weight and most importantly learn how to life the RnY lifestyle for the rest of your life!!! Chick-Fil-A or any other fast food is really not a healthful diet - even when you make the best choices. It's not that you can't have it occasionally, but it shouldn't be a go-to.
Go search out Bariatricfoodie or TheWorldAccordingToEggface for good protein forward recipes that you can make in bulk and store in your freezer.
