I see one BIG issue here, your protein intake is too low. You must have at a Minimum 60 grams of protein a day. Make sure to drink no less than 48 oz of fluid a day too. More of both is better.

A word of caution, if your protein intake is too low, you body will feed of it's own supplies, and use muscle tissue such as your heart.

The goal here is a healthy lifestyle, not numbers on the scale.

I feel your pain.  I'm 10 weeks out and have only lost 29 lbs.  That's 2.9 lbs/week.  I find it very hard to get all my protein in and fluids.  Eating is now a hassle and I'm just not hungry.  I'm more thirsty than anything, but still can't get in the minimum of 48 oz./day.  I feel like my honeymoon window is closing fast and I can't seem to keep the momentum going.

Oh Honey!! You have a LONG way to go with your "Honeymoon" period!! You and I are very similar in starting and surgery weights. Even if you only lose 2 pounds a week from here on, you will reach your goal weight in another 6 months!! My surgeon told me to expect 2 pounds a week and I almost cried.....well, that's what I lost on average and was at my goal (135) in 8 months. Wouldn't you be thrilled to be at goal in April or May??

Try to up your fluids to a minimum of 64 ounces a day and your weight loss will go even faster! 1 ounce every ten minutes = 6 oz an hour=64 ounces in 8 hours, taking out the time to eat and waiting to drink it is still very do-able!

Don't be discouraged. You are doing great. I only lost 14 pounds my first 5 weeks, but once I was able to get up and get moving, I started to drop weight faster.

I sure understand your frustration... I am 8 weeks post-op today and I have lost 25 since surgery!!  I lost 28 before the surgery and I thought I would be losing faster too....  My Nut told me I am not eating enough either, but I agree with "Diamond in the Ruff" above, I get tired of messing with food and by the time I try to eat my Protein, there is no room left for anything else....  I am not exercising like I should, don't get in enough water and don't eat enough protein either, so today is a new day, I will try again to do the best I can.... Good Luck on this journey, at least we are all in this together!!

That is almost 4 1/2 pounds a week! Sounds to me like the pounds are flying off of you. I don't think a body can drop weight much faster than that!

Remember, you did not gain that weight overnight, and it wont come off that way either.

Best wishes :)

You're doing awesome! It seems like it takes forever to start losing fast, bu****ch out since it will really happen like crazy soon! Just keep  your protein intake up there and get as much fluid as possible. Keep your chin up! You are definitely not failing.
