Sudden harp pain in abdomen...please help

Hi everyone. I need some help. Lately I have been having this weird sudden pain between (in the middle) my breast bone down to my belly button. It seems to be right where my new stomach is. I am a little over 18 month post op. The pain is sharp and sometimes brings tears to my eyes. I try and sit down and I am just in pain so much pain it hurts. This has been happening on and off for a few months. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Is there a reason that you haven't contacted your surgeon? It could be an ulcer or something else all together. Pick up the phone!!

I had the exact same pain you are describing. My surgeon decided to do exploratory surgery and discovered I had multiple adhesions. He removed the adhesions and the pain went away. Definitely call your surgeon! Best wishes!

I concur with the other posters. Call your surgeon for an appointment right away. I developed a similar pain about a month ago. It turned out to be a perforated ulcer. I'm almost two years out. I was lucky that they were able to treat it initially without surgery. Next month I'm going in for an endoscopy and if the ulcer isn't healed, I'll be scheduled for revision surgery to remove the ulcer.
