Yum - amaretto latte protein shake

I finally got out to the farm to pick up some milk yesterday.  I haven't had a good protein shake in a while because I didn't have any milk and I don't really like protein shakes make with soy milk anymore.  I've gotten too used to real milk, I guess.

So right now I'm sipping a protein shake made with Syntrax Nectar cappuccino protein powder (I add a little Splenda and a little decaf instant coffee to it), raw milk, and a splash of sugar free amaretto flavored syrup.  with Upcal D and MIralax mixed in, of course.  It's delicious!

Oh, it's good with all kinds of sugar free syrups.  I like it with English Toffee, caramel, raspberry, too.

Mmmm...you had me at amaretto!  LOL

I have to try that Nectar Cappuccino protein sometime soon, too.  I need to find a coffee flavored protein that I like.  I've had the Chike Iced Coffee and thought it was really gross.  Maybe I'm just better off putting some decaf instant coffee in my vanilla powder.  Time to experiment!

Instant decaf in vanilla protein is good.  It makes almost any brand of vanilla taste better!

I like the Chike iced coffee but the Syntrax cappuccino is... I dunno, more like a Starbucks drink.  The chike iced coffee is just like plain coffee, you know?  I put the Syntrax in milk, I don't think it tastes nearly as good in water.  But it's yummy.  You can get a sample from vitalady.com.

Oh wow that sounds so good. My husband loves fresh milk and we go once a month to get him some. I have been trying to find sugar free syrups without ordering from the net. Do you know where i can get them?

You can probably find a couple flavors in the coffee aisle at your grocery store.  But all I find there are vanilla and caramel.  You can buy some flavors at Starbucks.  But for many of them, you gotta order online.  If you order from Netrition.com, they have flat rate shipping - I think it's only $4.95 or something like that, no matter how much you order.  Also, if you order from Netrition through the Bariatric Foodie website (bariatricfoodie.com) during the month of November, you will be helping to support a good cause (my service dog!).
