6 week NUT and surgeon appointments Yay me!
Today I had my 6 week visit with my NUT and then my surgeon. I had SOOO many questions for the NUT and she is very knowledgeable...thank God! She helped me to understand my meal portions, spacing out of solid foods and the vitamins. Also, I've lost a total of 32 lbs.! She is very happy with my loss, as am I! I can have some snacks, too. I was told to concentrate right now on portion size and getting in my protein, rather than think about calories. With what I'm taking in, I'm not anywhere near going over any calorie count.
So, on to the surgeon. He is very pleased with my loss....again, as am I! My incisions are well healed. I'm to start taking VitB 12 sublingually. And he told me to be sure and take plenty of photos of myself, along the way, so that he can add me to his walls
. All in all, it was a good day!
I bought some hot cocoa that I had a sample of...it was DElicious, as well as some protein chips and unflavored Unjury.
Prior to this visit, I was feeling kinda funky. I thought my weight loss was slowing, because my clothes really weren't feeling any larger (I don't weigh myself at home) but I did lose. I feel redirected now...back in the right direction!
They sell them at the Weight Management Center. You can buy them online, too. This is just one website that shows the details of the brand. I've tried the BBQ, Salt and Vinegar and Pizza flavors. Today, I bought a Ranch flavored to try it. I have some of them with tuna salad. The bags are small, but I can't eat but a few of them, so it lasts about as long as a large bag of regular chips used to last preop. The last time I was there, I bought a box of protein snack bars. They, too, will last a bit because I've only been able to eat no more than half of one at a time. They are filling!
Good luck with your follow up. I'll send good thoughts your way!
