HAHAHHAHAHAHA!  Some great responses here!   Humor is the key to survival.  It can get a person through many a tough time.  Life is too short to not laugh and please julienne, don't hog all the meth to yourself.  It is the holidays after all.  AND before anyone gets butt hurt because we are talking like this, they can suck it. There. I also said it.............

For some, I'd say it's jealousy. For others, I think they are battling their own demons and are trying to come to terms with how they want to handle their weight. I say handle them graciously, they are following your lead. jmho.

As she watches you lose and maintain and be happy and carefree I will bet she eventually comes to you and asks how it was, who you went too etc.  Inside that mean exterior is a sad individual dying to be you.  When she comes asking, be kind and gentle and realize what you say may very well save her life.  Some people are just like that, no matter what you do, I tend to smile at them and try to break the ice cold exterior.  It doesn't always work but you can try.

We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do.
